The Folk Art Guild is “an intentional community and craft center located in the heart of the Finger Lakes in Middlesex,” according to the website. Membership in the guild includes both resident and non-resident artists; residents live on site, sharing meals, ideals and the pursuit of sustainable living.

The Guild is located on the beautiful 360-acre East Hill Farm, where for over 50 years now artisans have produced artwork on site, including pottery, woodworking, weaving, natural fiber clothing and folk toys.

This annual event is a unique celebration of local art, food and music. There will be a variety of activities for everyone in the family to enjoy, such as cider pressing, artist demos, a homegrown farm lunch, fresh-baked artisan breads, and tours of the workshops and orchards.

The Folk Art Guild will also be selling organic fruit grown at the Guild, which will be available for tasting. This is a great opportunity to visit the Guild’s workshops and watch the artists create. The East Hill Gallery will be open all weekend, so you can see the display of artists’ finished work.

There will be a number of local vendors with different themes for you to explore. Admission is free. For more information and directions to the East Hill Farm, please visit folkartguild.org.
