Widespread Panic, Trey Anastasio to Headline Sweetwater 420 Fest

The Sweetwater 420 Festival dropped its initial lineup with Widespread Panic and the Trey Anastasio Band as the 2017 headliners.

Atlanta’s Sweetwater 420 Fest’s initial lineup includes a number of established and up-and-coming acts. Widespread Panic, who announced back in April that they plan to stop regular touring after this year, will play four sets over two nights of the festival. Trey Anastasio will bring his solo band to the festival for two sets. Reggae/rock fusion band Slightly Stoopid, New Orleans-based funksters Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews & Orleans Ave and Grateful Dead cover band Dark Star Orchestra will play the festival. Also included are up-and-coming Vermont jamband Twiddle, guitarist Anders Osborne and his band, Brooklyn soul act Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds and Florida afropop band the Hip Abduction. More performers will be announced as the festival approaches.

The 2017 Sweetwater 420 Fest will be held at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta April 21 to 23. Advance three-day passes are available now for $123. VIP tickets are $353. Attendees who wish to run the Sweetwater 420 Fest 5k on Saturday, April 22 can save $5 by purchasing the festival pass and race entry fee as a bundle.
