Generation Axe Announces Tour and Stacked Roster

It’s rare to see a master of their craft, but Generation Axe is bringing five different virtuosic guitarists to one stage across 26 North American cities this spring.

Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettercourt and Tosin Abasi are the five guitarists coming together to put on some kind of face-melting, shred-tastic performance. The role of support isn’t left to a bunch of slouches either as the guitarists will be backed by a rhythm section including Pete Griffin (Dweezil Zappa, Stanley Clarke, Edgar Winter) on bass and Nick Marinovich (Yngwie Malmsteen) on keys.

The show will include collaborations, songs from their individual catalogs, and surely a performance together that will push the sonic limits of what your brain can comprehend and handle. The tour kicks off in Seattle in April 9 with tickets going on sale this Friday, Feb. 19. The only New York date is in Long Island’s Westbury, though a Toronto show and some other Northeast U.S. dates may be closer to home for some residents of the Empire State.

As a special treat, the band will also sell VIP packages that include memorabilia, meet and greet opportunities, and more. Check the Generation Axe website for updates and make sure to get your tickets fast as these guitar masters will likely only play together this one time.
