Pink Talking Fish to Swim Back to New York

Pink Talking Fish has added three upcoming shows in the Empire State.

They’ll come to Rochester’s Montage Music Hall on March 31, the Gramercy Theatre in New York City on April 8, and Surprise Lake Camp in Cold Spring on May 28. The four-piece fusion band covers the very best of legendary bands Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish for a remarkably fun evening.

The New York dates are the latest addition to a tour that began in December in Florida. They’ve made stops on the East Coast, West Coast and have several stops in Colorado, where they’re covering only those Phish songs with the fictional setting of Gamehendge, originating from Phish frontman Trey Anastasio’s college senior project, “The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday.”

PTF often plays the songs as fans know and love them, but occasionally add their own flare. They do this interchangeably throughout their shows, seamlessly transitioning between the hits of all three beloved bands to create a completely unique experience.

Chances are if you’re reading this, you’re already a fan of one if not all three of these bands, as are the men who make up PTF. This includes founding member of Particle Eric Gould on bass, Richard James on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums and Dave Brunyak on guitar.
