Snarky Puppy ‘Heads South’ Before Returning to New York

New York City’s own Snarky Puppy will head north to Syracuse on May 5 and Potsdam on May 6 after a five-stop tour in Florida, Mexico and South America, and Jazz Fest in New Orleans.

This comes after the 13-member jazz, funk, R&B fusion band’s extensive North America and Europe tour featuring screenings of the 94-minute DVD accompanying the release of Family Dinner – Volume 2, to be released Feb. 12. The album features 30 different guest vocalists and instrumentals from around the world.

This is the follow-up to the album that includes the 2014 Grammy Award-winning song “Something,” featuring soul singer Lalah Hathaway.
