“It’s not official til you heard it right here!” – Conan’s #Bonnaroo lineup reveals SURPRISE GUESTS

Posted by Conan O’Brien Presents: Team Coco on Tuesday, January 19, 2016

The Bonnaroo lineup, announced last night on Conan, includes a large number of established national acts and rising stars. The 2016 lineup includes two highly anticipated reunited acts, LCD Soundsystem and Ween, plus the first festival announcement for Dead & Co., which just completed a tour and hasn’t announced any other dates yet. Dead & Co. consists of three of the original members of the Grateful Dead — Billy Kreutzmann, Bobby Weir and Mickey Hart — and the last tour included Oteil Burbridge, best known for his time with the Allman Brothers, on bass, Jeff Chimenti on keys, and soft-rock crooner John Mayer on lead guitar. No word yet as to whether there will be lineup changes for upcoming dates.

Many musical genres are represented in the lineup. From the bluegrass and country world, they’ll have Steep Canyon Rangers, Bluegrass Situation Superjam with Ed Helms, Sam Bush Band, Chris Stapleton. Representing modern alternative rock and hard rock will include Saint Motel, Chvrches, X Ambassadors, Death Cab for Cutie and Clutch. The R&B, soul and funk genre will be well established with Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Vulfpeck and Lettuce, and pop and rap acts Ellie Goulding, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will also entertain the crowds. Tame Impala will play a special late night set.

Conan also announced that the festival will include flushable toilets this year. And then a wolf’s head popped out of one of the toilets and howled, “Bonnarooooo.” It was weird.

All tickets for Bonnaroo go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, Jan. 22.
