moe. performed two nights at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Feb. 6 and 7 of this year, a run that saw guitarist Al Schnier playing one of Jerry Garcia’s guitars during “Deal.” While this song isn’t included on the newly released set from TourGigs, the run proved to be that of moe. legend.
You can now own a best-of compilation of those shows on DVD, Blu-Ray and download for your own personal viewing. The band hand-picked the mix of new and classic moe. tunes included on this release and available through TourGigs.
Blu-Ray copies of the two-disc show cost $45, while the standard DVD edition runs $40. If you prefer the download route, costs range from $20-30.
The set includes a nice mix of classic ragers such as “Bear Song” and “Recreational Chemistry” as well as newer, soon-to-be classics such as “Downward Facing Dog” and “Silver Sun.” The video releases marks the first official moe. DVD since 2006’s Live From the Fillmore.
moe.’s 25th Anniversary Tour continues through the end of this year, culminating in a two-night New Year’s run at Albany’s Palace Theatre. Tickets are still available for these shows.
