The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir and Mickey Hart Added to Virginia’s Lockn’ Music Festival

Earlier this month, members of the Grateful Dead finished their 50th anniversary Fare Thee Well run in Chicago, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t life after Dead.

The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir and Mickey Hart have been added to the massive lineup at the Lockn’ Music Festival in Arrington, Virginia, set to take place Sept. 10-13. That means all four of the “core four” members of the legendary jam band will be in attendance.

Weir will perform as the featured guest of the day appearing in unique artist collaborations on Saturday, Sept. 12. Hart is set to play a “deep rhythm experience” at Lockn’s Forest Stage during two late-night performances, tuning The Woods with sound, lights and vibrations and playing another set during the third evening on the main stage with EOTO.

On top of that, fellow Dead member Phil Lesh will be teaming up with the legendary Carlos Santana, and Dead drummer Billy Kreutzmann will play a set with his band, Billy and the Kids.

Check out the entire lineup on the poster below. Tickets can be purchased at the festival’s website.
