ON TOUR: After Funk Will Make Several Summer Stops in NY

After Funk plans to hit up several New York venues on their 2015 summer tour.

Starting the tour with four Ontario shows in mid April, the Toronto-based funk band will head to Rock n Roll Resort on April 30 in Kerhonkson, New York. Then they’re set to meander throughout the Northeast U.S. with scattered stops in Ontario until they get to Buffalo on May 21 – where they’ll play Iron Works with Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band.

In late May they will hit up the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn (with Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band) and Funk ’n Waffles in Syracuse, then they’ll be back in New York at the Buffalove Music Festival in Silver Creek on June 20.

“Can’t wait to hit the road again and bring the funk to so many awesome places!” the band wrote in their Facebook post announcing the dates. They also noted that they have “a bunch more exciting stuff to announce in the coming weeks.”

Formed in 2011, After Funk is rising on the Toronto-area music scene, and they released a self-titled debut album in January that was mixed and mastered by Soulive’s Alan Evans.
